A madeleine moment in the heart of Montmartre 🫶🏻

I’ve always loved madeleines 😊🥧

After picking them up at the pâtisserie Gilles Marchal, I took my tasting to the peaceful Square Suzanne Buisson — a hidden gem just steps away from Place Dalida.

Originally from Lorraine — the birthplace of the madeleine, a classic French shell-shaped sponge cake — the pâtisserie Gilles Marchal brings childhood memories to life through his creations.

Named Pastry Chef of the Year in 2004, he later settled in Montmartre — a village-like part of Paris where time slows down… and where his iconic madeleines are baked fresh several times a day.

While the house also offers refined pastries and chocolates, it’s the madeleine that truly defines his universe.

I tried:

* the Chocolate marble & vanilla 🍫
* the Orange 🍊
* the Pistachio 💚
* the Blueberry 🫐
* the Classic 🥧

I have to say the pistachio and blueberry ones were my favorites 💚🫐

Okay… I think I just found my go-to Georgian restaurant in Paris 🇬🇪

Do you want to know the address? 👀

Honestly, that says a lot… because I had only tried Georgian food once before.

The place just opened about two weeks ago in the heart of Madeleine.

It’s called Touch in Paris

French-Georgian at lunch, and fully Georgian in the evening.

The restaurant is super well run by Timo & Gio — you can really feel the passion — in the kitchen, the georgian great chefs Tornike & Aleksandre.

Now let’s talk about the food!

We started with the khinkali (veal dumplings)
okay, I definitely need some more practice 😅
I did not eat them quite properly — the sauce went a bit everywhere!

Then the khachapuri,
that cheesy bread with the egg yolk in the middle, I could eat that every day, man!

We also had:
• Tchachouchouli — slow-cooked veal in a rich tomato sauce with mashed potatoes
• Mtsvadi ketcze — marinated grilled pork with tomato sauce

So yummyyy 🫶🏻

And I have to say… I’m officially into Georgian wine now 😊

We wanted to try the desserts but we had no space left 🙃

I definitely recommend that spot! 😋

Arnaud Nicolas, M*F Charcutier 2004, spent years perfecting his craft before opening his own maison, with one goal: bringing charcuterie back to its finest, most authentic form.

I tried his croque-monsieur and a pâté Pantin stuffed with pork.

You can instantly tell — this is precision, technique, and indulgence 🤍

«L’artisanat est la première défense du consommateur. Dans le respect du produit et des saisons, nous cuisinons nos plats et fabriquons notre charcuterie sans additif ni conservateur.»

Who loves croque-monsieur like I do? 🥪

Fric-Frac restaurant in Montmartre is on another level.

You can instantly taste the quality — M*F-crafted recipes, top-tier ingredients, and that perfect crispy/melty combo.

I got the “Titi”: five-grain bread, “Prince de Paris” ham, Mornay béchamel, and aged Emmental.

So many other options to try… and the desserts are really good too (no room left 🙃)

Honestly, go try it — you won’t be disappointed 🤍

Just steps from the Moulin Rouge you’ll find one of the most talked-about burger spots in Paris 🍔

I know… people have been talking about it for 3 years!

I’m of course talking about Disco Burgers that was created by two childhood friends Louis and Augustin.

They brought a unique concept to Paris inspired from South Korea where the bun is pressed and closed to keep all the flavors inside.

My favorite? The Bleu Brothers with Bleu d’Auvergne 🫶

The fries are also really good — I always go for cheddar on top 😊

The team is really nice and welcoming — Armando has been here since the beginning,
and Louis and Augustin created such a great vibe.

Shouout to the chefs Shahidul and Abdur 👏

If you’re looking for a really good burger in Paris… this is it!

Okay… I just devoured Carl Marletti’s millefeuille at Jardin des Plantes 🫢

Carl Marletti is a former pastry chef at the Grand Hôtel Intercontinental in Paris.

He was named Pastry Chef of the Year in 2009, and his pastries have won awards for best millefeuille, lemon tart and fraisier 🤍

If you love pastry cream, you know it’s not that easy to find a really good millefeuille in Paris.

This one? crispy, creamy, perfectly balanced — exactly how I love it.

Some classics don’t need reinventing… just done right.

It honestly brought me back to the one I used to love as a kid 🥹

I think my next sweet stop will probably be flan — I love it, and this one really made me want to try it 😊

Thank you Joël for your warm welcome!

A kebab… but actually worth it 👀

I was invited to try SAUCE. — the Berliner Kebab 🥙

I have to admit, I usually go for shawarma, so I hadn’t had a kebab in a really long time!

I was curious to see if it was actually worth the hype, especially since they have a 4.9 rating on Google 🫢

I went for the marinated chicken with feta, veggies and salad — and honestly, I was surprised by the quality.

Everything tasted fresh, well balanced, and a step above what you usually get.

The bread was good quality, the chicken was juicy and well seasoned, and I also got to try all the sauces and the halloumi.

The fries were crispy and not greasy 🍟

A really good spot if you’re craving a proper kebab in Paris 🤍

Thank you to chefs Salim, Kamal, Atikur, and Arty for the warm welcome.
