💡 CC Travel Tonic Top Tip

Planning a trip to Vietnam? 🇻🇳

From 1st July, all travellers entering, leaving or transiting through Vietnam will need to complete a health declaration before travel.

✈️ What you need to know:

✅ Complete the health declaration within 7 days of travel
✅ Available in English or Vietnamese
✅ Can be completed online
✅ Save it on your phone or print a copy

⚠️ Border officials may check your declaration at airports, ports and border crossings, so make sure it’s completed before you travel.

⏰ Extra checks could mean longer processing times, so allow a little extra time when travelling.

💡 My top tip:
Before any trip, always check the latest entry requirements for your destination. Rules can change, and it’s much easier to sort things before you travel than at the airport!

🎢 WHAT’S NEW? 🇬🇧

The UK’s new Universal theme park has officially been named:

✨ Universal United Kingdom Resort ✨

The huge new attraction will be built in Bedfordshire and is expected to open in 2031, becoming Universal’s first major destination in Europe.

🏰 Universal and the UK Government have announced major investment in the project, including improvements to roads, rail links and local infrastructure.

🌍 The resort is expected to attract millions of visitors each year and become one of the biggest tourism developments the UK has ever seen.

For theme park lovers, this is definitely one to watch over the next few years 👀

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE – SUNEXPRESS SUMMER 2026

If you’re planning a trip to Türkiye next summer, this is worth knowing 👇

SunExpress has cancelled four UK routes for Summer 2026:

❌ Manchester – Bodrum
❌ Leeds Bradford – Antalya
❌ Glasgow – Dalaman
❌ Glasgow – Antalya

The airline says the decision is due to rising operating costs and ongoing challenges within the aviation industry.

✈️ Other SunExpress routes to Türkiye will continue to operate, although some services may see temporary frequency reductions.

If you’re booked on one of the affected routes, keep an eye on communications from your airline or travel provider.

Thinking about Türkiye for 2026? Don’t worry – there are still plenty of flight options available from UK airports.

Last night I attended a travel networking event in Glasgow with some of the girls from the team, hosted by ATAS, where we had the chance to meet and speak directly with touring and adventure travel suppliers from all over the world.

From safaris and Asia to Antarctica and once-in-a-lifetime touring experiences — it was amazing to learn more about the destinations, providers and experiences available.

Edinburgh Airport tips you actually need ✈️

If you’re flying from Edinburgh soon, these little things make SUCH a difference…

✈️ Twilight bag drop
A lot of airlines now allow you to drop your luggage off the night before early morning flights — meaning you can head straight to security the next day with just hand luggage 🙌

Bonus tip: if you have official Edinburgh Airport parking booked, you get access to the 1 hour parking area for free while dropping your bags off 😜

🧴 Liquids through security
Edinburgh Airport has now lifted the old 100ml rule — you can now take liquids up to 2 litres through security and keep them in your bag 👏

BUT if you’re taking a reusable metal water bottle, make sure it’s empty before security or your bag will likely get stopped 😅

💺 Waiting for your gate?
Instead of standing watching the screens every 5 minutes, check the Edinburgh Airport app — the gate often appears there first, which usually means quieter areas and more chance of grabbing a seat before everyone else catches on 👌

Honestly, little travel hacks like this just make travelling feel so much easier ✨
