Last night I attended a travel networking event in Glasgow with some of the girls from the team, hosted by ATAS, where we had the chance to meet and speak directly with touring and adventure travel suppliers from all over the world.

From safaris and Asia to Antarctica and once-in-a-lifetime touring experiences — it was amazing to learn more about the destinations, providers and experiences available.

For me, events like this are so important because travel is never “one size fits all”.

The more knowledge and insight we have:

Edinburgh Airport tips you actually need ✈️

If you’re flying from Edinburgh soon, these little things make SUCH a difference…

✈️ Twilight bag drop
A lot of airlines now allow you to drop your luggage off the night before early morning flights — meaning you can head straight to security the next day with just hand luggage 🙌

Bonus tip: if you have official Edinburgh Airport parking booked, you get access to the 1 hour parking area for free while dropping your bags off 😜

🧴 Liquids through security
Edinburgh Airport has now lifted the old 100ml rule — you can now take liquids up to 2 litres through security and keep them in your bag 👏

BUT if you’re taking a reusable metal water bottle, make sure it’s empty before security or your bag will likely get stopped 😅

💺 Waiting for your gate?
Instead of standing watching the screens every 5 minutes, check the Edinburgh Airport app — the gate often appears there first, which usually means quieter areas and more chance of grabbing a seat before everyone else catches on 👌

Honestly, little travel hacks like this just make travelling feel so much easier ✨
