Let the festive spirit begin! 🥳🥳

The Christmas lights on the Champs-Élysées were officially switched on last Sunday, November 16. This event marks the real start of the holiday season in Paris, and many people came to watch it happen. This year, the city introduced something completely new: a sound and light show that plays across the entire avenue. Instead of only shining steadily, the trees now glow, pulse, and change colors in rhythm with music. The show runs every 30 minutes, so visitors can see it at almost any time of the evening.

The lighting system is much more advanced than in previous years. The new LEDs can be programmed to create different effects, like waves of color, moving sparkles, or bursts of light. This also helps save energy, since modern LEDs use far less electricity than older bulbs. Paris wanted the avenue to feel festive but also more environmentally responsible, so the lights are designed to be bright while using less power.

The illuminations start every night and stay on until midnight during the week, and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. That means the Champs-Élysées stays lively long into the night, with people walking, taking photos, and enjoying the atmosphere.

The 2025 Christmas lights will continue until January 4, giving everyone—locals and visitors—plenty of time to experience one of Paris’s most famous winter traditions.

🇫🇷 A beautiful moment of unity in France 🇫🇷

Scenes like this remind me why France captivates travellers from around the world, not just for its monuments and cuisine, but for its living culture and proud spirit.

Walking the streets and feeling this energy is an experience every visitor should have. ❤️🇫🇷

🌿 Jardin Joseph Migneret — Hidden Heart of Le Marais 🌿

I found a garden in Le Marais that feels like it remembers everything and forgives it all. 🌿

Tucked quietly behind Rue des Rosiers, this little space carries a powerful story. It’s named after Joseph Migneret, a local school director who risked his life to protect Jewish children during World War II. Today, it’s a peaceful place of light and reflection, a living tribute to courage and kindness. ✨

The walls are wrapped in green, the air is calm, and for a moment, Paris feels completely still. Sometimes the most meaningful places aren’t in the guidebooks, they’re the ones that just find you.

Have you ever stumbled on a hidden spot in a city that stayed with you? 💬

🖤 Rue de Rivoli, Paris 🖤

There’s something about this street that makes time slow down. The hum of bikes, the soft light bouncing off old stone buildings, the rhythm of footsteps crossing the boulevard, it’s so effortlessly Paris.

Rue de Rivoli has seen centuries of life roll through, from Napoleon’s vision to modern cafés and everyday commutes, yet it still feels timeless. Even in black and white, it’s full of life.

📍 Just another quiet moment that somehow captures everything I love about this city.

🌸 Rue des Rosiers — Where Roses, History, and Parisian Magic Meet 🌸

There’s something truly special about wandering down Rue des Rosiers in Le Marais. The scent of fresh falafel and challah fills the air, mingling with the sweetness of flowers blooming from little balconies above. 🌺

Once the heart of Paris’s Jewish quarter, this cobbled street still pulses with life — kosher bakeries, vintage boutiques, and ivy-draped façades that seem to glow in the sunlight. Its name, meaning “Street of the Rosebushes,” hints at the gardens that once thrived here centuries ago. 🌹

Today, it’s a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern Paris energy — a street where every window box, mosaic, and pastry tells a story.

📍 If you ever find yourself in Paris, promise me you’ll walk this street slowly. Between the flowers, the food, and the history, Rue des Rosiers will steal your heart. ❤️
