On a site with a complex and fragmented layout, we created a series of active design ‘stations’ featuring colorful signage, inspired by the playful topography and softened by a color palette that echoes the agricultural fields surrounding the city.

Make use of what’s already there! We propose to transform this side road hill of the old national road, now closed to cars, into a playful hill of different climbing elements. These play hills are one of the active design stations planned in the future Mau Park in Saint-Memmie.

The «Parc du Mau» is a landscaped sports park for everyone, designed around the theme of «playful challenge,» catering to children, teenagers, adults, and seniors. Reflecting the identity of Saint-Memmie—between town and fields—the park «repurposes» the site’s unique topography along a national road, and favors tactical active design installations. The park embraces a co-design approach involving two major local sports associations and residents’ organizations. Ici c’est Saint-Memmie!

For a large forest park eco-trail, Orchestra designed 6 themed forest observatories, each dedicated to a specific group of animals which you can encounter in the park. These observatories highlight their unique characteristics, their roles in natural ecosystems, and how to behave when encountering them in the forest. These placemaking installations created natural playful stops for visitors along the trail.

Our temporay urbanism project continues on the Cachan Campus, the former ENS campus! Phase 2 involved creating a welcoming space around two pétanque courts and our seatings made from recycled barriers. A large signage has been strategically placed to catch the eye in a territory in transition, highlighting a remarkable place: the plane tree alley, the heart of the future neighborhood in the making, by and

The Great Parcours is the first active design hub along the Grande Boucle of Saint-Dizier. Composed of ten obstacles, the parcours is highly demanding and was co-created with the city’s military base. A chronowatch at the start allows to time your run and challenge your friends.

For the Grande Boucle of Saint-Dizier, we designed a set of custom furniture and signages with a uniting visual identity. In particular, the «0km» large circular «seating plan» was designed to make the running loop visible to all.

The Grande Boucle Sportive of Saint-Dizier is a 7.5 km waterway route that brings the Marne River and its canals back to the heart of the city while reconnecting peripheral neighborhoods to the center and major pathways. This loop is a large-scale active design installation, created to encourage accessible physical activity for everyone, thanks to sports «stations» along the route. The first of these stations is an obstacle course co-created with the local military base. The visual identity is applied across all signage and wayfinding totems.

The entire layout of the Belvédère project was designed using a flexible system of scaffolding, OSB wood panels, and micro-perforated fabric. A series of installations were created, including a “big wall” that serves a dual purpose: it defines the boundary between the dining area and the main tracks while also functioning as a projection screen and a backdrop for small-scale events. An access staircase leads to the belvedere, an elevated platform offering sweeping views of the sports tracks and the cityscape.

Transforming a parking lot into a vibrant sports hub! Le Belvédère is a concept for a temporary recreational and sports destination situated on the top floor of a parking structure. Designed to re-imagine the image of a train station district in transition, this innovative project breathes new life into 4,500 square meters of asphalt. During the summer, the space transforms into dynamic “big tracks” for cycling, rollerblading, and other urban sports. The design combines active design, cultural programming, temporary installations, and a unique visual identity.
