We have been busy ensuring that we maintain the high standards of La Grange. We have replaced the tiles on the oldest part of the roof, after a few hundred years of excellent service, and relined the pool which is heated with an environmentally friendly air source heat pump.

We are turning the seating area at the end of the garden into a shady bower with a new planting of Wisteria to grow over the metal trellis. It should be a very pretty and a realaxing place to sit at any time of the day, but ideal for evening sunshine with a glass of wine!.

The Virginia Creeper on the house is showing wonderful autumn colours.

We have upgraded the sofas in the salon for indoor chats when it is too hot to be out, or you just feel like vegging out in front of the TV.

We now have another place to sit with shade during the day and the sun in the evening - where could be better for a quiet drink and enjoying the views!

We have put some new traditional lanterns on the barn adding a little extra je ne sais quoi.The house looks good at night too!

We have started to revamp some of our furnishings for next season to maintain our high standards. Our thanks go to Jane, our amazing upholsterer. The first chair has now been done and looks good in the Salon.

Our lavender patch (Imperial Gem) is now in its second year and looking magnificent. We have been enjoying the sound of the buzzing bees and the sight of butterflies and hummingbird hawk moths harvesting nectar and pollen. It is wonderful to be interacting with these busy creatures - they give so much pleasure and do such good work!.

The local markets are wonderful, great produce, colour and atmosphere. We particularly like the market in Souillac.
