Picked from our own tree, walnuts are a delicious superfood we love to snack on as they are a good source of plant protein and contain monounsaturated fats, which may be a factor in reducing the risk of heart disease (source Harvard Health). We love to share them with guests when they are in season.

What a lovely map of French cuisine. I made a huge amount of clafoutis this summer not just with cherries from our three cherry trees but also with figs, plums and raspberries. Our summer guests enjoyed picking the fruit too for their own breakfasts or pudding creations.

Dave you will be so sadly missed! Dave and Richard have done all the work on Maison F***e Blanche, one of our gites we are just finishing off. Distillation has started in many of the Cognac houses. It's a true art that goes on until the end of March next year. It's a great time to visit the Cognac houses as the aromas and activity are incredible.
