Living in Dordogne the centre of a farming community it’s just amazing around harvesting time! Soya beans today in the field opposite us and the campsite ! The video was filmed from the balcony of our chambre d’hôtel !

2 more sleeps at our little campsite before we close for our annual holiday! Today I closed the restaurant and all s**c and span for next years adventures at The Stumble Inn where we can also Stumble Out and not having far to go!! What happens and says in The Stumble Inn stays in The Stumble Inn! Plenty of good fun evenings by our guests. Roll on 1st May 2027 for Season 4 !!!!

What an amazing couple who have just left after spending 29 days on our campsite ! What a blast and we wish them all the best on their onwards travel for the autumn and winter !!! We miss you already Judith Green and Mark .

An amazing femme piece of art sculptured from sand ! The groves are the rivers in Dordogne ! Amazing spectacle in our lovely village of Verteillac ! Such a buzzy village !!

The Thursday night markets in our village Verteillac are in July and August ! Here are some lovely photographs our guests have posted when we had a table last night !! Mr G enjoying his pool attendant job and taking it very seriously getting it ready for another lovely day on our campsite !! Most of the ash from the smog has been swept away from the weekend !

Thank you for all your lovely messages of concern! We are far enough from Bordeaux and devastated by the fire and the people that live in the surrounding areas. We feel so lucky we life in a community of Dordogne and the farmers are constantly spraying the fields around us with water. For protection we have been advised not to use charcoal bbq’s and outside has bbq’s. We have been affected by this but for the pompiers that have lost their lives by saving people and animals we are glad to abide by these rules xx
