What an amazing day to celebrate VE day with friends in Verteillac. 6k 10k and 20k races around the demarcation line. Beautiful walk admiring the countryside and an official walk along the demarcation line. So historic and a humbling day in France.

A new friend for the bench in the courtyard . I couldn’t resist buying the the Hare which was all by itself at the Brocante today in Verteillac.

Beautiful weather today 20 degrees. We have started preparing for the campsite grand opening 1st May. Brand new taps in the individual bathrooms as they were becoming difficult to turn off last year. The farmers are spending days and nights ploughing the fields! Spring has arrived! We are counting down the days to open the heated pool!

This is certainly something to shout about. Our local village is certainly a hidden jewel! As campsite owners we love Verteillac and so pleased we have the recognition of our village with its increasing businesses flourishing!

A beautiful sunny day with an amazing sunrise over the campsite. Then a 10k trail walk around Siorac de Riberac - Trial de La Double. Living the dream!

Our outside mini barn on the campsite has had a major renovation. New doors made from recycling wood with little windows plus a splash of bright paint and lovely solar lights too! Mmm maybe a mini bar??
