Lac de la grange A beautiful, peaceful 4 bedroom gite, nestling in the Perigord national park. Usually, the only cars we see are our neighbouring farmer and the postman!

Heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, games room, large garden and fantastic 6 acre fishing/swimming lake. Set in the Limousin national park on the edge of the Forest of Rochechouart, surrounded by open fields and woodland, our property is a very private, secluded and peaceful retreat. The superb and very spacious accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests and is perfectly suited to families and groups

of friends. Built within the old monastery section of the barn, attached and to the rear of our house if offers privacy with entrances to the front and rear. Outside the gite has a private dining area with BBQ. Inside there is a large open plan lounge/dining room with separate kitchen, 4 bedrooms (one ground floor with en suite, designed for wheelchair use if necessary) and 3 bathrooms. Lovingly created retaining many character features it has original stone walls and a large fireplace with woodburner. The stone walls help to keep it cool in summer and the wood fire makes it warm and cosy in winter. Two of the bedrooms have air conditioning and one has a four poster bed with juliet balcony overlooking the lake. All bed linen, bathroom and pool towels are provided
Our huge, newly stocked 6 acre private fishing lake has been here since Napoleonic times and is for the use of our guests only. It is naturally spring fed and the depth varies up to 8m. As well as being able to fish from the dam at the deepest end of the lake there are 5 purpose built swims along the north and south banks. Quality fishing tackle is available to hire or of course you can bring along your own. We have a tackle hut for overnight storage and also a bait fridge. Extra facilities provided for the use of guests include a large, decked, above ground swimming pool & hot tub. The terrace and seating areas for sunbathing and relaxing are surrounded by flower gardens and fruit trees. A large cut field next to the pool is perfect for ball and racket games. A new all weather table tennis table and badminton and boule equipment are available. We can share our enthusiasm for target archery by providing lessons or taster sessions on our range. The property has large private fenced grounds offering the chance to stroll through the meadow seeing lots of local flora and fauna. Including the trail around the lake the grounds provide a very pleasant 3km walk.
