Well, it’s Springtime at Gites Rue du Chateau, and the weather has been AMAZING. The response from the gardens has been fabulous - so much blooming over the last couple of weeks. It’s almost changing daily. Here’s a selection of colour from our flora. The wisteria is spectacular! The bluebells and tulips are sumptuous. Even the dandelions and daisies are gorgeous. (I love the way they sleep at night and then open up when the sun hits them )😊. The apple trees seem to have benefitted from their pruning and are full of blossom! And, of course, we have our wildlife - the resident ducks are always about and even Mr Fox has returned (albeit under cover of darkness). We still have some vacancies this summer if you fancy a stay in the beautiful Charente!

☀️ With temperatures reaching into the 20s this past week, it feels, and is very much looking like Spring here at Gites Rue Du Chateau … 🌷 🐿️

We have had a good start to the year, hosting a lovely group of French, Swiss and Italian guests attending the Angouleme Comic Festival back in early February and a handful of house hunters realising their dream to live in France 🇫🇷. Their fantastic feedback was a real boost and for which we are always grateful… and continues our run of consistent excellent reviews… thank you, it was a pleasure to host you… 😃

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 review for our Lavender Cottage and a perfect start to the year 🥳
Thank you to our lovely guests who stayed with us this weekend.

As we come to the end of our festive winter celebrations, we would like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and fun filled Year to come….

🌲we have had a restful and cosy few weeks and managed to get out in the woodland today to replant ‘Noel’, our potted Christmas tree. Fingers crossed he likes his new home. 🥳 We celebrated New Year at the lovely Auberge Du Noyer and Rusty and Ruby are still working on their ‘Mission Impossible’ moves, gathering walnuts 🐿️ and this evening we have a beautiful red sky taking us into a magical Twelfth Night.
