• Session Historique ép.2 : Nous ne connaissions pas beaucoup de choses sur les débuts du voilier malgré toutes nos recherches mais vendredi dernier grâce à vous tous, à vos réseaux, outre-garonne et même outre-manche, nous sommes super heureux d'avoir retrouvé la famille du premier propriétaire de Sonas (actuellement Irina VII). 😃🤗
C'est le Major James Gibb Allan (1876-1968) et marié en 1920 à Janet Collinson qui commandita Sonas auprès de Mylne et Fife et fut donc le premier propriétaire. Le couple vivait dans leur maison appelée Carisbrooke à Helensburgh, en Ecosse. James faisait parti de la famille Allan, grande famille au début du 19ième siècle dans le transport. Lui et sa femme n'eurent pas d'enfants, mais nous avons retourvé la nièce d'oncle Jim, Jane Collinson Brown.

•Historic Session Ep 2 : Despite all of our research, we didn't know much about the beginnings of Irina VII. But last friday, thanks to all of you, to your network across the world, we are super happy to have found the family of the first owner of Sonas (currently Irina VII). 😃🤗
It was Major James Gibb Allan (1876-1968) married in 1920 to Janet Collinson who ordered Sonas from Mylne and Fife and was therefore the first owner. Both lived in their house called Carisbrooke in Helensburgh, Scotland. James was part of the Allan family, a large family in the early 19th century in the transportation business. He and his wife had no children, but we found Uncle Jim's niece, Jane Collinson Brown.
We can't wait to visit her after the lockdown in ordert to tell everyone the rest 😃🥰🤩 Thank you Jane for allowing us to bring the story back to life⛵️🏴🇫🇷
