One Million Ubuntu Ambassador Challenge

One Million Ubuntu Ambassador Challenge The aim of the GATE Ubuntu Alliance One Million Ubuntu Albassador Challenge is to boost travel2 & within Africa to help Africa live from tourism not aid.

Citizens around the world legitimately expect that all governments should preserve them from harm and look after their welfare. That's
what they are elected to do. The current human tragedies and the migrant crises, the near extinction of protected species due to poaching, trophy hunting and illicit wildlife trafficking show that this is a daunting task. That's why global citizens initiatives no m

atter how modest are needed to compliment government efforts to contain and resolve
such global humanitarian challenges. The GATE Alliance Million Ubuntu Ambassador Challenge is an example of such Global Citizens Initiative aiming to boost "travel to and within Africa" to bring economic development to Africa so that Africans stay in and develop Africa. The GATE Alliance community members share the profound believe that, "the little mindfull and compassionate things we individually whilst pursuing our life passions, like choosing where and why we spend our travel dollars, can when coordinated bring about BIG CHANGES in the lives of others. The One Million Ubuntu Ambasador Challenge (Ubuntu Ambassadors) members choose to help Africa through tourism and not Aid by
pledging to devote one travel/stay per year to the mother continent. The Challenge invites African and global Celebrities, VVIP's, Travel & Hospitality Trade Professionals as well as anyone young or
old to become Ubuntu Goodwill Ambassador as we all Love2Travel and can therefore Join & INspire Africa. The World Economic Forum says that "every 30 travelers contribute to the creation of one permanent job at a destination". Marcio
Favilla of the UNWTO says: "Tourism is the new architecture of the Effective Development Cooperation Agenda helping to promote an
inclusive, sustainable and people centered growth.”

The GATE Alliance global citizen's inititiave promotes travel to and within Africa through:

1. The Charter Member 2015 Ubuntu Alliance Declaration;
2. The One Million Ubuntu Ambassador Challenge recruiting global goodwill ambassadors for the cause;
3. The Annual Bespoke Africa Travel Summits in Asia, Middle-East, Europe, the Americas and Africa organized by the Alliance members to celebrate awareness about the people, nature & cultures of Africa.
