Andante is a recently renovated farm, dating back to 1850, set in 1,2 hectares (= 12.000 m2) of land. The second house is available for rent. It sleeps 4 - 8 and is fully furnished and self-contained. Bed linen and towels are included. If you enjoy a round of golf there is an excellent golf course (18 and 9 holes) in Castelnaud de Gratecombe, (12 kms. from the property), and a 9-hole course in Tombeboeuf (28kms. from Andante). Lot et Garonne is situated just south of the Dordogne in the Périgord. In this picturesque countryside of rolling hills are vineyards, orchards, walnut trees and fields full of sunflowers, rapeseed and corn. This is also the area of the plum trees that provide the Pruneaux d'Agen. The area is still fairly unknown and off the main tourist track and thus offers an oasis of tranquility and space. The small towns and villages are full of character and the people are friendly. If not for the many Bastides (fortresses) to be found in almost every village around here, it would be hard to believe that in the 14th and 15th century this was the place the 100 years war between the English and the French was fought. Almost every day of the week there is a local market to be found in the surrounding towns and villages, such as Cancon, Monpazier, Monflanquin, Villeréal or Issigeac, all of which date back to the middle ages.
