Bernard de Prat is a local author and historian in the Saint-Malo area. He is a remarkable person, at over 90 years old he is still actively restoring his property and keeping local history alive. Some of the richest local Saint Malo history I’ve learned has come from reading his works and conversations with him. When I give tours of Saint-Malo, people ask about my sources. Yes, most are books, but the best are people like M. de Prat.
