Domaine de Conillères

In olden times, the estate used to be well known for wild game. Conillières comes from provençal “counihiero” which means rabbit burrow. “Le conile” in Old French means rabbit, as well as “il cognilio” in Italian or “el conejo” in spanish. All these names come from the same latin root.

At the beginning, the main farm building which dates back from the early 1700’s used to be a hunting lodge, later on it became a sheep fold. It was gradualy restored and includes today 3 comfortable and cosy holiday apartments.
