Behind the scenes of a very productive hour 📸

Marketing has always been my industry, but being a travel agent is something I love too. Today I got to combine the two with my travel agent besties 👯‍♀️

Finding content to post for an online business can be a struggle & creating content from scratch every day just makes marketing harder than it needs to be.

We walked away with a bank of content that can be used across Reels, stories, carousels & website content!✨

📍This was for a family member of mine, who owns a property located 15 mins from Cockermouth, advertised on Sallys Cottages

UGC refers to any kind of content created by customers or users of a product. It’s common for restaurants & hotels to create guests immersed style videos & photos as its builds trust and looks more genuine.

I’ve been luckily enough to have now worked with 2 properties on their social media content. 💕

Throwback to one of my favourite stays in Ecuador.
The located 6 hrs from Quito, Ecuador’s capital.

They had so many activities to choose from, including guided nature walks, horse trekking, chocolate making & more. 🫶

I wish I knew this before becoming a travel agent…
I thought the only way to make money in travel was booking holidays for clients.
It’s not.
Not everyone needs a travel agent…
but that doesn’t mean they’re not willing to pay for value.
Here’s what I’ve learned instead:

✈Some people want full planning → that’s where I step in
📍 Some just need direction → itineraries, guides, digital products
📸 Some brands need content → UGC, hotel stays, collaborations
💻 Some people want to become travel professionals → mentoring, network marketing.

There isn’t just one way to do this.
And honestly… once I stopped forcing every enquiry into “becoming a client”
I started opening way more doors (and income streams).

✨ 2 in-person training events
✨ So many new people met
✨ A social media client
✨ My own website
✨ 2 UGC deals
And honestly? I feel like I’m only just starting to get it.
Doing this type of work isn’t linear.
It’s sometimes a bit messy, unpredictable, and overwhelming.
My content isn’t always perfect.
I don’t have my personal brand nailed yet.
But I’m trying to show up, learn, and figuring it out as I go.
And that’s what actually matters.
