This week we had some great sunsets and took a trip out on the motorbike. We went up through the mountains, to two of the best know climbs of the Tour de France . Didn’t stop for many photos but we managed a spot of lunch and enjoyed some amazing views ! Col d’Aspin and Col du Tourmalet !

A little outing with friends, to try a new place to eat! Wow what a lovely evening at the train station. The newly renovated building hosts the wine shop and the out buildings and garden are for eating. Book tables with their own fire pit or just use the communal one; choice of meats, crevettes and cheese for the grill all served with veg chips and salad. Really good value, and great wine, chosen direct from the shop, a great ambiance and delicious food. So good I’ve booked to go back with the family 😍 of course you have to stay with us and compete a great little break!

Today’s brunch for a 50th birthday..,,,,, family time for our guests😍

For any one suffering in the heat and worried about booking without aircon; yes it’s been very hot outside 38° in the afternoon . We have managed the house with closing and opening shutters and windows and fans and the hose has been just fine. At night in our wee valley with the stream running under the house the temperature has been much lower than most and typically between 17-20 degrees with a breeze. With open widows and fans it’s been perfect for a good nights sleep and as we have big beds and spacious rooms you never feel stifled.

And just to top it off I e been swimming at night under the stars …. So good to cool down and beautiful.
