5yrs ago to this day I took on the mighty Tourmalet for the first time and today was the turn of the Mont Ventoux. Some grippy sections through the forest but what a stunning view from the top.

Can't believe it has taken me 4 years to ride up the Nistos Cap Nestes which is our nearest big climb. It had some really challenging gradient sections and stunning views once nearer the top of this 12km / 1055mtrs brut.

Great day out with Dave taking on 'the big one' Col du Tourmalet. Impressive determination to nail it without stopping....Although we weren't treated to the stunning view at the top we where met by Dave's family followed by beer and burger at La Mongie, result!!

Thanks to the guys at for supplying this awsome Specialized Tarmac disc. Although I have not ridden hardly this year, it was an absolute joy to take on the mighty Col du Portet as featured in last year's TDF. With the flawless shimano R8000 group, mighty hydraulic discs and stable handling, descending back down through the fast & tight turns was confidence inspiring. If you are in the market for a new steed I would seriously put this bike on your 'to try' list as it does everything amazingly.
