I have posted a blog of our activities over the last couple of weeks (https://kergudon.com/sunday-25-may-well-oiled/).
Nothing terribly significant the first week (hence no blog) but a little more productive last week with some TLC given to Priory's terrace furniture and completing a task I began last October.
Sadly, nothing further with the pool or terrace, but we have a date for the next BIG stage - will share that on a blog later in June - it will be a great leap forward.
Next week will, as ever, be weather dependent but we have Dave's uncle and aunt staying with us so we should also have some fun activities too.

I have posted a blog of our activities over the last 7 days (https://kergudon.com/sunday-11-may-2025-a-rakes-progress/)
We managed to achieve 1 of the 3 things we said we hoped to at the end of the last blog, and one of those has at least been progressed.
It has remained dry throughout the week so we have not yet seeded what will become the lawn but the whole area has been de-stoned so is ready just as soon as the rain comes.
The pool terrace has progressed even starting to lay the floor inside the pool house, and our sparky has started installing the cabling and has connected it to the mains!
More rain is forecast for next week - good - so we hope to have grass seed sown by this time next week and perhaps even some grass growing ...

I have posted a blog of our activities over the last 2 weeks (https://kergudon.com/sunday-04-may-rake-n-roll/)
The reason I didn't post last Sunday is that we were almost entirely focussed on a single task - preparing the space between the buildings and the pool to become a lawn again.
This has been one of the dullest tasks we have undertaken since we moved here, raking, rolling and removing hundreds of kilos of stone and slate.
We have made good progress helped by an unseasonably period of dry, hot, weather which has also allowed the pool terrace to progress, but hindered in equal measure as we have not been able to seed what we have prepared.
As the the task is so dull, I have broken it up with a few other tasks and we have managed to get out and about to discover a new bar and walk one of our favourite coastal routes.

I have posted a blog of our activities in the last week (https://kergudon.com/sunday-20-april-hey-loft-more-like-yay-loft/)
The focus has been almost entirely getting Hayloft finished and rebuilt - and we are delighted with the results.
We also managed to get it prepared and ready to go 24 hours before our guests arrive which is more than our normal 24 seconds!!
We haven't updated our website yet but the blog has some pictures of the refurbished gite that you can compare.

I have posted a blog of our activities over the last week (https://kergudon.com/sunday-13-april-field-of-dreams/) which, sadly, have not been as numerous as I'd have liked. I obviously picked up a cold a couple of weeks ago and felt rotten for the start of this week.
Thankfully, the delay has not been critical and Hayloft, while not progressed at all last week as a consequence, will be readied this week.
We did however make some progress on what needs to be a lawn again between the buildings and the new pool area and our tiler had a day with us. If the forecast is to be believed it will be the last for a while ...
There will be more next week!!!
