Petit train Rouen which starts outside the cathedral and takes you on a route round the medieval streets of the city. Our driver was such fun he seemed to know every restaurant and shop owner we passed . Lots of friendly waves from everybody.

Decided to break the journey home at San Sebastian. What a wonderful chic city and 2 amazing beaches. Weather today is 16 degrees .
To top it all we came across the San Sebastian petit train . Great 40 minute ride with loads of history.
Note to self next time come down and spend a long weekend here. Great shops and Pinchos bars in the old quarter.
Everybody seems to speak French which is a bonus as my Spanish is zero.

The 2019 season has begun ! Gone a bit off the rails to include our first Spanish petit train. The wonderful train in Granada which takes you all round the city but especially up the steep hill to the Alhambra palace. We spent a great day hopping on and off at the various stops much needed form of transport in such a hilly city. Audio guides in various languages very helpful. €8.50 Per day also includes the night tour, which we did not take having settled down for the evening in a lovely tapas bar in the old Arabic quarter.

Sadly we have now put the Cherbourg petit train to the bottom of the list kicking Limoges petit train off last place. The first train did not stop to pick up passengers, we had to pay 20euros for a family ticket ! Got the second one with no apologies from the tourist information office or train driver. To top it all it was so boring Michael nodded off. Went round harbour twice and kept seeing place Napoleon from all four entranced! Bayeux was so good the night before. Not petit trains fault but a party of moaning Brexit voters sat in front of us complaining that people only spoke French to them Arrggg 😈

The season has started ! We are on our mission to ride all the Petit Trains in France. Starting with the delightful journey round the seaside port of Fouras. The train starts outside the fort built for Napoleon by Vauban , the French military engineer and takes you down to the ferry port for Ile d'Aix.

The rather space -age looking petit train at Beaune , bringing the total traveled up to 13 . The best far is Porto which included a delightful Port tasting and the most disappointing is Limoges. So lots more to tick off the list.

The first photos from the new Petit Trains, page, is of Le Train des Grands Vignobles de Saint-Emilion. Just 10 Euros for a hour and a half voyage through the beautiful vineyards of St Emillion plus a stop for a wine tasting and a visit to underground wine caves. Such fun on a beautiful hot October afternoon
