It is with a heavy heart & a degree of disappointment that we have come to the descion to not aim for a 2026 season opening.
Life is just throwing too many curve balls at the moment for us to dedicate the time needed to complete the project.
Thanks for everyone's support, I shall not be posting until there's anything to report

February will see us going full pelt in the gite , getting the place re wired as its currently a mix of English & French 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ , doing some boxing in for safety, kitchen fitting etc .
In the mean time I've been getting my creative juices going again , having repainted & reguilded a gorgeous headboard which will feature in one of the bedroom, 4 bed side tables incoming !

The news we've been waiting & hoping for

Just to keep all you lovely followers updated .
We had a sparky around yesterday to look at re wiring the gite . It's currently a mix of French & English sockets , i mean wtf?
Anyway , we've decided to leave that until the new year , along with lagging & possibly a wood burner ( that may wait till later in the year . So for now we're putting the gite to sleep & taking some us time before Xmas

At the weekend we had friends around for dinner . She is a very handy person to know . Part of what she does is advise on getting places rentable .
This has led to somethings needing to be changed to meet tourist board approval ( the kitchen work top i worked so hard on 😢 ) & other plans revised.
Initially we were despondent, but on thinking & talking , we realise, to be able to provide the best we can & to maximise our potential, these things need to be done .
We are still aiming to be ready for the summer season 🤞
