It’s those magic, impromptu moments I love best of all to capture and this evening was one of those beautiful moments..
So, whilst contemplating which wines to showcase this weekend Le Pied de la Lettre Adrien takes a very proud father son moment and after discussing the options with Nino voila..

Yay 😀 C’est mardi donc on y va au marché à Grignan..

I love my Tuesday’s. It’s market day in Grignan, so time to stock up on all things seasonal, local, artisanal et fait maison.

Today’s basket includes tomatoes from , mouthwatering strawberries from , homemade pasta, pesto and a tiramisu.. not sure how that got into my pannier!! .. from the lovely Maëlle’s et Leo my weekly bouquet des fleurs from my lovely friend Jenny and OF COURSE une excellent bouteille de Brigand rouge from . That didn’t quite make it back to chez moi!! As it was such a gloriously sunny day, it was presque l’heure d’apéro, and Aurélia had a bottle opener to hand it would have been positively rude not to share a glass avec mes aimes Very lovely it was too.. 🍷

I give you a sneak preview of just a few of the dishes from Le Menu de la Truffe being served at

A dining experience that is sure to tantalise the taste buds and leave you wanting to learn more about this wonderful winter ingredient local to the region of and the magical dishes that restaurant’s owner chef extraordinaire and his head chef Fatima Ibrahimi create. Is it any wonder that since opening the restaurant 23 years ago he has such a loyal clientele.. the magic just never ends..

Here’s to all things seasonal and great chefs who use such wonderful ingredients and create something magical for us to discover and appreciate

So, which of all the wonderful wines I have so far had the pleasure discovering is it to be this week?
Et voilà… Cuvée La Petite Vigne du bout du haut from Domaine du Chardon Bleu
It was just the perfect red wine.. very slightly chilled.. to accompany a sumptuous picnic I recently enjoyed under a magical summer evening sky.
When it comes to dining venues the wonderful outdoors is definitely one of my favourite

..Love it when I come across a wine like this..

Described as a wine which reflects…”Le sang de la terre, un vin de paysans vignerons du Gard sans chichi!!”

Le Mas de la Font Ronde, situated in Le Gard, west of Nimes is run by 2 brothers. Gardeners and vignerons Yves and Vincent Moulin, Yves uses ancient agricultural techniques in the vineyards and Vincent vinifiés the wines according to biodynamic techniques..

Pompon Rouge, a blend of 4 grapes: Aramon… a very rare variety grown primarily in the Languedoc..,Cinsault, Carignan 2 if my favourite grape varieties… and Alicante, is an ideal red for drinking during the summer months.
