It is now official! The D-Day Landing Beaches – Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword – together with Pointe du Hoc, have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 🕊️
Forever etched into the collective memory of humankind, these shores stand as enduring witnesses to one of history's defining moments. Once marked by conflict and sacrifice, they now embody a universal message of peace, freedom and reconciliation, inspiring generations across the world.
This prestigious recognition is a profound source of pride for Normandy, whose coastline continues to remind us that the pursuit of peace is among humanity's greatest legacies 🙏
