HERE WE ARE:
Launching at last, after five years of preparations and continuous recalculations and re-evaluations, negociations and with the help of a strong team of devoted volunteers and friends, we have been developing the latest technology into the core ideal and objective of the project.
We are finally ready to present the finalized project to the investors with our partners from SODEXO.
At first, it was prepared for one site with 50 rooms in Gabon, but considered too small as a total investment, the site has been grown to a full 70 apartments, restaurant with lounge terrace, pool and poolbar + braai corner, a polyvalent room for lunchgarden style - company restauration (Sokeez) that can be used in the evenings and weekends as an eventroom or party hall, and another building offering 20 high standard fully equiped offices with all assistance services included, and above all a replica of the pilotsite is included in the plan with three other sites to open within the first two years in the neighbouring countries.
Seeing daylight with sustainable, social and ecological principles all united in one single project and label:
The Ecotel Project !
In the Economical Capital of Gabon, Congo, Cameroon and Benin the need to reunite with economically viable projects, sustainable technologies and Corporate Social Responsibility required urgent innovative action:
the Ecotel Project concept was born.
The Ecotel Project will become a modern site of 70+ Service flats, with an innovative building process in a mobile way allowed to re-think traditional building principles by giving the project its three lifes:
1. First life : materials such as aluminum, Steel, PET bottles, cement, etc...as known in our daily consumption recycled into building materials. Promotion of recycling projects will be a constant part of the project by raising consiousness with the younger generations.
2. Second life: recycling these materials by building ecological and economical housing for its active population in need of decent lodging by building recycled materials (steel, aluminum, wood) framed flats, apartments, offices and houses with low CO² impact, recycled foam insulation, rain & wastewater treatment, and many other efficient techniques in mobile, sustainable and responsible building.
3. Third life: remove upto 10% of the units each year in order to renovate one by one the parts of the site on a timely base improving its quality as we go and in the same time offer the dismanteled units as social housing, classrooms, workshops etc... to local NGO's and Humanitarian organisations.
The whole project is self-sustainable, sponsored by the companies or individuals renting the commercial studio's giving them the possibility to participate directly and indirectly to greener sustainable housing and social projects in their immediate environment and improving the lifes of many in the region.
