We’re delighted to announce that The Black Lion is starting a brand-new chapter! 🌟 While we say farewell to the incredible John and Sandra as they retire (but stay in the village!), we’re honoured to continue the tradition of warm welcomes, amazing food, and unforgettable stays.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be reopening our doors on Thursday, 16th January, and can’t wait to see you all back! 🎉

Spring is creeping up on us. Daffodil bulbs are shooting and the Snowdrops are out.
The Bees came out for a quick forage, but shot back inside very soon after 😄

I have plenty to be thankful for. My lovely Studio guests always bring me joy and laughter.
Mark, Andrea and family also brought me a home made coat and boot rack - and fitted it!
Wayne, Sonja and family always make beautiful additions for me to enjoy along with many laughs.
I’m so grateful to all of you who have chosen The Studio for your getaway.
As a Thankyou and to give something back to past guests and new ones, I have discounted the nightly price from Nov 28th - Dec 4th.

I really enjoyed The Brush making Workshop, hosted by Catherine and Jenny, (https://www.flossieandtwts.com/workshops) and directed by Rosa Haridine.
6 houses along a beautiful riverside walk away from the Studio.
Great company, delicious food and mulled wine, beautiful and historical setting, and gifted teaching - the best kind of learning new skills.
The next workshop is Christmas Wreath making on Sunday December 4th, then again on Sunday December 11th.
Highly recommended.
