The final part of The Beautiful Brylach walk 🥾
This section reaches the track high up the hill where the landscape changes and views really open up.
Remember to stop and take it all in as you go up the hill.
Explore the old tin Bothy used for peat cutting for the Whisky industry.
And top it all off with a wee dram and shortbread before making your way back down to Brylach. ✨

Beautiful Brylach and part two of the woodland walk 🥾
Leaving the shelter if the woodland behind, this section of the walk opens out onto beautiful Heather-covered hillside with wonderful views across the Glen.
One of our favourite things about this route is that it’s accessible directly from Brylach Steading. No car required, just pull on your walking boots and head out to explore.
We’ve spent many hours walking this route ourselves, gradually creating a natural path and adding way-markers to make it easier for guests to enjoy.
If you’re lucky, you may spot a Roe deer, red squirrels, birds of prey, or even the local Osprey. Of course, nature works to its own timetable and that’s all part of the magic and wonder.
In Part 3, we’ll discover some of the fascinating remnants of the area’s peat-cutting heritage, once an important part of Speyside’s Whisky story.
Will you come and explore a place completely off the beaten track? 🍃

The Best of Brylach is seeing our guests so happy here! ✨
It really is the best feeling being a part of making someone’s stay in this beautiful part of the world so special.
We love making genuine, authentic and personalised recommendations and then hearing about the guests experience when they come back at the end of the day.
The impromptu chats, meeting such lovely people from all over the world and all different backgrounds is so interesting and fulfilling.
Edna loves all of the strokes as well! 🐾

World best friend day seemed like the perfect excuse to share one of our favourite walks at Brylach 🍃
Tucked away behind the steading, our woodland walk offers a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and perhaps spot some local wildlife along the way.
Who would you bring for a walk like this?

Behind the scenes at Brylach Steading ✨
We’re continuing to restore more original style features and this time it’s at the lovely front entrance to the courtyard.
We want our guests to have a really good first impression as well as light on arrival in the darker months.
Hope you like them! X
