Sometimes I’ll have a fantastic deal. Sometimes the price might be exactly the same. And occasionally you might find something cheaper elsewhere.

Chapter 5 ……

🐻🐻 ATLAS & SKYE’S CRUISE HOLIDAY 🛳️

Liberty of the Seas

Let’s start at the beginning…

We parked at the port and as soon as we got out of the car, we were greeted by port staff who told us to leave our suitcases with them and head into the terminal.

We breezed through, were directed straight to a desk with no queue, and within 10 minutes of entering the terminal we were stepping onto the ship! 🙌

Honestly… a million times easier than an airport check-in! 😂

And that’s another thing I love about cruising — you don’t need to sit on a plane for hours while making your way to your next destination. You’re already on holiday while you’re getting there! 🛳️

Instead, we were eating in beautiful restaurants, relaxing in the pools and hot tubs, playing in the casino and arcade, watching an ice show, cabaret and musical performances, playing quizzes, game shows & bingo… and eating pizza at 2am while chatting and laughing with friends. 🍕😂

And somehow, despite all that, there was STILL loads we didn’t get round to doing!

There was the rock-climbing wall, sports court, FlowRider, art gallery, escape room, flumes, spa, gym and ice skating.

You could genuinely spend the whole cruise onboard and still come home saying, “We never got round to that!” 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

🍽️ NOW… THE IMPORTANT BIT — FOOD!

There was loads of choice. We ate in Windjammer, the Main Dining Room, Johnny Rockets, Izumi Teppanyaki, Sorrento’s and the Mexican snack bar.

But my fav fav FAV was the fried rice from Izumi. 🤤

It was exceptional. Seriously, I’m still thinking about the bloody rice. 😂

🍓🍹 DRINKS PACKAGE

We chose the Refreshment Package and it suited us perfectly.

I don’t drink alcohol, but I do love a virgin strawberry daiquiri — included! 🍓🍹

And Mark loves his Starbucks coffee — also included! ☕️

So for us, it worked really well and we definitely got good use out of it.

🎰 AND THEN THERE WAS THE CASINO… 👀

We got lucky a few times and somehow managed to rack up 1,500 Casino Royale points, which resulted in an INSTANT CRUISE OFFER! 🛳️🎉

So obviously…

ANOTHER CRUISE IS INCOMING. 😂😂

Purely for Toye Voyage research purposes, of course. The things I do for my customers. 🤣

Would we cruise Royal Caribbean again?

ABSOLUTELY! 🛳️💙

Easy embarkation, loads to do, great food, brilliant entertainment and waking up somewhere new without having to pack your suitcase every time.

That’s my kind of travelling. ❤️

And as for Atlas & Skye’s next adventure… 🐻🐻

🚢 Cruise Bootcamp… and a Little Bit of “Research!” 🤣

Before heading off on my next adventure, I travelled down to Southampton to take part in the InteleTravel Cruise Bootcamp.

What a brilliant day it was!

I had the chance to meet some fantastic suppliers, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Azamara, Princess, Celebrity, as well as Gold Medal and Major Travel. It was fast-paced, packed with information and full of inspiration.

As a travel agent, days like these are invaluable. The more I learn, the better advice I can give to my clients, and I came away with loads of new knowledge, plenty of ideas… and, of course, another badge and certificate for my gallery! 🎉

Go me! 😆

Now… just so I can continue giving you all the very best travel advice (and because it would have been rude not to! 😉), I hopped aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas for a 5-night cruise.

Chapter 4 …..Kuşadası 2026

I’ve been coming here since 2004, and in those twenty-plus years it’s become so much more than somewhere I holiday. It’s my happy place.

I’ve been here with my mum and dad. I’ve had girls’ holidays here. I’ve been here with my kids, and my grandchildren, and I’ve even had surgery there ( twice ) - I’ve stayed for a week, and I’ve stayed for five weeks at a time - Every visit has added another to the memories.

I’ve watched Kuşadası change over the years too. When I first started coming, it felt much more traditional. The marina was smaller, life moved at a slower pace, and there were fewer hotels. Today it’s a vibrant resort that somehow still manages to keep the warmth and hospitality that made me fall in love with it all those years ago.

It genuinely has something for everyone.

This holiday was meant to be another chapter.

Another chance to show Atlas one of my favourite places in the world. Although he’s already travelled to some incredible destinations with me, I was excited for him to experience the place that has probably shaped my love of travel more than anywhere else.

But life had other plans.

Before we’d even left for our holiday , we received heartbreaking news that a very close family friend in Turkey had suffered a devastating family bereavement.

As soon as we landed, another phone call came.

Someone we knew had gone missing.

The following day, we received the news we’d all been praying wouldn’t come.

So our hearts were heavy before it began.

Then, just a few days later, everything changed again.

My mum became seriously ill.

Instead of spending our days on boat trips, browsing the bazaars or watching the sunset over the marina, we found ourselves travelling more than three hours to a hospital, where we spent four long nights by her side while doctors treated a severe infection caused by gallstones blocking her bile duct.

When someone you love is lying in a hospital bed, holidays don’t matter anymore.

The excursions can wait.

The shopping can wait.

The cocktails can wait.

You simply want your them to get better.

Thankfully, thanks to an incredible medical team and the kindness shown to us throughout one of the hardest weeks our family has experienced, she was well enough to travel home with us.

For that, I will always be grateful.

This wasn’t the Kuşadası I had hoped Atlas would experience.

He didn’t get to see the place through the eyes that I have after more than twenty years of memories.

But that’s okay.

Because this isn’t goodbye.

It’s simply…

Until next time.

I’ll bring Atlas back.

We’ll sail on the turquoise waters.

We’ll wander the markets.

We’ll sit at the marina with a Turkish tea.

We’ll laugh, explore, eat far too much and make the kind of memories this beautiful place deserves.

Because Kuşadası has given me over twenty years of unforgettable moments.

One difficult holiday will never change that.

Sometimes the places we love aren’t remembered because every visit was perfect.

They’re remembered because they were there for us, through the good times and the bad.

Thank you, Kuşadası, for once again reminding me that your greatest treasure isn’t your beaches or your sunshine…

It’s your people.

🧸 Atlas & Skye’s Adventures

Chapter 3 ……France

Bonjour Paris! 🇫🇷 Sarah’s Birthday Adventure

Oops… we’re a little late writing this one! 🙈

Life has been incredibly busy since we got home (Emma has been running around like a headless chicken!), so we’ve only just managed to unpack our tiny suitcases and tell you all about our Paris adventure.

At the end of May we packed our passports, grabbed our cameras and joined Sarah and the gang for a magical birthday weekend in Paris.

🏨 Our Paris Home

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Le Normandie, and what a brilliant choice it was.

Our room overlooked a beautiful Parisian square where we could sit and watch the world go by. There were shops everywhere, cafés on every corner and, best of all, the Metro station was literally straight across the road. You couldn’t really ask for a better base for exploring the city.

Atlas spent ages pretending he knew the Metro map… although between us… we’re fairly sure Emma was just following everyone else! 😂

🏰 A Very Hot Day at Disneyland Paris

Getting to Disneyland was actually really easy once we’d figured out the trains. (Reading maps definitely helps… apparently!)

The weather was absolutely glorious…

…actually…

It was TOO glorious!

It was roasting! ☀️🥵

Because of the extreme heat some of the parade was shortened and lots of the Disney characters had to disappear for regular water breaks. Nobody can blame Mickey for needing a wee sit down!

Luckily our birthday girl Sarah wears a Sunflower Lanyard, which made such a difference. The Cast Members were absolutely brilliant and we didn’t have to spend hours standing in queues, meaning Sarah could enjoy so much more of the day.

🍝 Bella Notte… and Emma’s Great Escape!

After all that walking, someone (we’re looking at you Emma…) announced she was desperate for Spaghetti Bolognese.

So naturally we headed straight to Bella Notte.

The food was absolutely delicious…

…until disaster nearly struck.

The staff spotted it was Sarah’s birthday.

Suddenly…

🎶 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUU! 🎶

The entire restaurant joined in!

Emma disappeared quicker than Lightning McQueen and left the rest of us to suffer the embarrassment! 😂

Meanwhile Nicola…

Otherwise known as The Prosecco Princess™…

somehow managed to acquire Prosecco in a Disney Princess flute.

Honestly…

We weren’t even surprised.

🚲 Tuk Tuks, Tourists & Movie Locations

The next day we dressed for the occasion and climbed aboard our Tuk Tuk.

We must have looked the part because tourists kept stopping US asking for photographs!

For a brief moment Atlas was convinced we’d become Parisian celebrities.

Our guide took us all over the city including a beautiful church and the famous café featured in Emily in Paris. Paris really does have those little hidden corners you’d probably never find on your own.

👜 Designer Shopping… with a Football Twist

A bus trip along the Champs-Élysées was next on the list.

Luxury shops…
Designer handbags…
Beautiful cafés…

…and security barriers everywhere.

The city was preparing for the Champions League Final between Arsenal and PSG.

Thankfully PSG won, and once the final whistle went the whole city came alive.

Fireworks filled the sky.
Cars beeped their horns.
Everyone celebrated together.

Well…

Almost everyone.

One firework decided to celebrate by bouncing off Cal’s thigh!

Fortunately he escaped with nothing more than what he proudly referred to as his “war wound.” 🤣

💃 Crazy Horse… What Did We Just Watch?!

Now…

Let’s talk about Crazy Horse.

We honestly weren’t quite prepared.

The venue itself was lovely—small, intimate and very stylish.

The performances were incredibly choreographed and artistic…

but…

let’s just say there was a LOT less costume than we’d anticipated!

The only way Atlas could describe it was…

“Tastefully sleazy…”

If that’s even possible. 😂

We’re really glad we experienced it, but if someone asked us to choose between Crazy Horse and Moulin Rouge…

Moulin Rouge wins every single time.

❤️ Final Thoughts from Atlas & Skye

Paris reminded us exactly why it’s one of the world’s favourite cities.

Beautiful streets.
Fantastic food.
Disney magic.
Amazing transport.
Friendly people.
Memories we’ll laugh about for years.

Most importantly…

We got to celebrate an amazing birthday with amazing people.

🌍✈️ Toye Voyage Update! ✈️🌍

Five weeks ago, myself, Atlas and Skye jetted off to Paris to celebrate my sister Sarah’s birthday. 🇫🇷🥐 We had an absolutely fantastic time!

Since getting home it’s been non-stop, so I haven’t had a chance to sit down and share our Paris adventure with you all.

The good news is… tomorrow we’re off again! 🇹🇷☀️ Turkey is calling, and while I’m “working very hard” from my sun lounger by the pool 😉, I’ll finally get my Paris travel report uploaded.

I’ll also be gathering plenty of tips, photos, videos and memories from our Turkish adventure to share with you all over the next couple of weeks.

I have been busy with bookings the past couple of weeks , which is great , I love the fact people trust me to arrange their trips - however loyalty isn’t always there - My own son booked with someone else whilst I was in Bucharest 🤬 ….. and now the day has came where Riley and his 3 friends head out on their first boys holiday - people will need to approach me with caution the next 10 days cause I’m heart is roasted and nerves are shattered 😭😭😭
