This weekend we are at another local campsite in Aberfoyle.
A different kind of site for us surrounded by a river, woods and lots of walks. Despite the rain, happy to be out walking again although taking it slow to start with.

And so another tour with Florence has come to an end.
We have had a great week visiting Faskally, Grantown on Spey, Aviemore, Loch Morlich , Newtonmore and Dunkeld.

We are now in Newtonmore amongst the hills.
Another nice site - so quiet and peaceful. We tried to extend our stay here but this is the busiest weekend of the year in this part of Scotland.
International horse trials take place in Blair Atholl, Thunder in the Glen in and around Aviemore, and Dunkeld Highland Games.
Not sure where we will end up tomorrow night, but sure we will find somewhere.

The adventure continued yesterday. After leaving Loch Morlich we headed in to Aviemore.
We had no campsite booked so decided to spend the night "off grid"
Dinner was cooked and eaten in a lay-by and after driving the length of Aviemore a couple of times we found a nice wee carpark to spend the night.
All part of the motor home life.

Today we have had a driving and sightseeing day.We stopped off at Loch Morlich on our way to Aviemore. Again the weather...

Today we have had a driving and sightseeing day.
We stopped off at Loch Morlich on our way to Aviemore.
Again the weather was great and we had a couple of hours sitting on the beach.
Even the ducks got fed.

Yesterday we left Faskally and drove 70miles North to Grantown on Spey.As always we passed lots of motorhomes and camper...

Yesterday we left Faskally and drove 70
miles North to Grantown on Spey.

As always we passed lots of motorhomes and campervans on the way with a lot of them giving the respectful motorhome wave.

Today we are sitting in the nice warm sunshine whilst it is raining at home. It's times like this Stephen and I realise how lucky we are.

The makeover continues. Today Florence got her step repaired. It was very rusty, brittle and breaking apart.

With a new trim in place and painted it looks good as new.
