Even tour guides need a break! 😉
After showing everyone else the wonders of the Highlands, I like to visit the stunning island of Islay.

It was a loooooooong journey to get there, but it was so, so worth it. And it got me thinking... that's a bit like Scotland in general, isn't it? The journey here is always worth it for the incredible experience you get when you arrive.

I understand what it’s like to travel a long way for a special adventure, and my goal is to make your time here the most worthwhile part of it all.

So… does anyone want to play a game and guess what this is?

It’s built within a wall inside someone’s house (extra points if you know where), and the walls are thick - - - and cold! The doors were kept low to retain heat, and the walls are thick for the same reason.

Swipe right for a hint from the previous photo to give you an idea of the size!
The hole is in the wall, not the floor.

I absolutely love this photo at night of Cawdor Castle nr Nairn, Highlands of Scotland and one of my favourite Castles to visit… it’s fabulous as are the staff.
