If you’re thinking about Costa Rica, let me tell you about one place I love… Lapa Rios Lodge 🌿
This is proper “switch off and breathe” territory.
Tucked away on the Osa Peninsula (which, by the way, is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet), Lapa Rios is the kind of place where you wake up to the sounds of the jungle, not an alarm. Think open-air bungalows, monkeys swinging past while you’re having your morning coffee, and views that make you stop mid-sentence.
What I really like about it is how natural it all feels. Nothing overdone, nothing forced. It’s luxury in that easy, understated way — you’re completely comfortable, but still feel connected to where you are.
Days are as active (or not) as you want them to be. Guided rainforest walks, wildlife spotting, or just sitting with a book and that view… no pressure to do anything at all.
And the whole place is genuinely eco-focused, not just in name. It’s been doing this properly for years, which you can really feel when you’re there.
If you want somewhere that feels a bit special without trying too hard… this is one I’d always come back to 🌎✨
