Curlew Close Cottage is located on the exclusive Pullwood Bay Estate, a private 51-acre woodland on the north west shore of Lake Windermere between Ambleside and Hawkshead. The cottage enjoys woodland views and is just a short stroll from the both the lake and The Drunken Duck pub.

Like fishing? Pullwood Bay is a hotspot for pike, this handsome fella was caught spinning off our private jetty.

Very stressful day, the entry opens for next year's Lakeland 50/100 and it will sell out fast!

Sorry to report that the washing/drying facilities on the estate have been decommissioned. We don't have room to put a washer/dryer into the cottage unless we remove the dishwasher.

Launderette facilities are available in Ambleside and on Skelwith Fold Caravan Park just down the road from the cottage provided you ask nicely. But both of these options cut into your holiday time and so what's your vote dishwasher or washer/dryer?
