A fabulous day on Scafell Pike for this family. Guided by one of our expert guides - thanks Dave - they were able to relax and enjoy their surroundings, learn about the mountains and descend via a quiet route away from the main paths.

Summit success :-)
After some big traffic delays this team were well behind schedule on their 3 peaks attempt. Their driver gave me a cut off time of only 3 hours 3 minutes so speed and efficiency would be key for us to get them back on track.
Well, they pulled out all the stops and we flew up and down that mountain in well under 3 hours. All despite some pretty challenging weather up there.
Shaun, the driver, was genuinely shocked to see us back so soon.

This team has shown that with some grit and determination, oh and a splash of fitness, a 3 peaks challenge can be achieved in a rapid time despite road setbacks.
Great to be a part of their journey and we wish them all well.

The mountain weather in the Lake District is very much back to normal. Pack a coat, hat and gloves. It's cold and wet!

Big thanks to Dave and Sam for leading a guided walk/scramble over Helvellyn today. Striding and Swirral Edges both done. With some cloud cover the temps have been a little more favourable :-)

Another grand day out on Scafell Pike. This time taking a very quiet route around the back of Lingmell, deep into the Wasdale valley and on to the Corridor Route. After summiting we decided to keep with the quiet theme and return via Lingmell.

Weather has changed dramatically from last week. Hat and coat needed higher up the mountain. Visibility was poor on the summit plateau so map and compass should be carried. If unsure how to use these please do consider either hiring a guide or choosing a smaller objective.

Super hot out there today. So much so, the father & son team I was with today decided they just weren't feeling it and were too hot. We went as far as Hollowstones and from there the view really does open up.
After snacks and a drink we set off back down the mountain at s steady, leisurely pace, chatting and admiring the stunning landscape around us.

Taken last Saturday night on Scafell Pike. We were out supporting a 3 Peaks Challenge group on behalf of Advocate Events
The weather and atmospheric conditions were top notch and it was warm enough to be in just a t-shirt at midnight.

A glorious day on Scafell Pike yesterday. Thanks to our guide Dave for looking after the Pandya family and getting them off the beaten track on what was no doubt a very busy Wasdale :-)

Today we've been on Scafell Pike with Fiona and Barney, her 5 year old Border Collie.
Some wonderful views, although the summit was shrouded in cloud. A brutally cold wind blew but thankfully only one very brief shower. All in all a good day out and a big tick for Fiona :-)
