Another recent trapping survey of newts in our Meadow Pond found a total of 43 newts (both Smooth and Palmate) living and breeding in the pond. These native amphibians are an incredibly important part of the freshwater ecosystem.
All trapping was carried out under license by trained ecologists and all animals were returned safely to their habitat.
