We would like to thank all the Bed & Breakfast guests we have had the opportunity to serve over the last six years. Thank you for your custom and for your positive reviews. We have enjoyed making your acquaintance and it has been a pleasure serving you. Our B&B service has now closed. Shortly the Barn will revert fully to private residential accommodation under different owners.

The Barn in blue. The re-seeded wildflower meadow is showing off its first growth after only 8 weeks - phacelia, cornflowers, borage and viper’s bugloss mostly so far. More to come ….

Renewing a large part of the wildflower meadow – a very professional job by our good friend Vaughan. This time we are sowing Seeds 'Wild bee mix' – made up of Phacelia, Borage, Sainfoin and Birdsfoot Trefoil mainly. Vaughan added a few sunflower seeds so that will be interesting when they put their heads above the rest. We have to wait till end July to see the first year results. Should be fun for us and the bees.

Our apologies that we have not been in communication for a long time. We have only just managed to access the Barn's FB page after nearly 9 months. We failed to update our Settings and were unable to log back in last September 2021. FB's customer service is somewhere between ineffectual and non-existent. It is only by chance and remarkable persistence that we now have regained access. So, check your FB settings or risk our experience.

So how long do we have to sit here and look cool? It’s a golden autumn day at the Barn.

June is an odd time to plant out a Christmas tree but there it is. Cal and Tori hope to see lights on it in years to come when they visit from Aus.

Red Dock - now this flowering Dock does look more like a w**d. Pretty all the same.

Yellow Rattle - apparently we should plant more of this to thin out the grasses in the meadow.
