Day 3 of our Ennstal‑Classic recce and Germany absolutely delivered. Smooth, sweeping roads, a sun‑soaked stop in Lindau, and even a Zeppelin cruising overhead like it was part of the route plan. Millie and I rounded it off by a venture onto the Autobahn. This rally is already shaping up to be something special.

Day two of our Ennstal-Classic recce and today we had 158 miles to cover as we continued towards Strasbourg, without touching a single motorway. 🇫🇷

After the essential pre-flight checks on our 1981 Morgan 4/4, we set off to explore some fabulous French D-roads, including a wonderfully winding stretch through the Lorraine countryside.

A quick supermarket lunch kept us going before we called into a beautiful French village to inspect one of the hotels planned for our 2027 Ennstal-Classic tour, including the all-important secure garage parking.

We’re keeping the best roads and hotels under wraps for now, but the 2027 route is already shaping up rather nicely…

Day one of our Ennstal-Classic adventure! 🇦🇹🏁

We’re heading to Austria in our 1981 Morgan 4/4 to experience the Ennstal-Classic and carry out a full recce ahead of our 2027 Classic Travelling tour.

Today’s journey took us from England, across the Channel to sunny Calais and around 250 miles through France to our first overnight stop.

Over the coming days, we’ll be checking the routes, hotels and all the little details that go into creating an unforgettable touring experience. Follow along as we continue towards Austria!

A 1935 Austin 12/6, 91 years young, and a member of the Classic Travelling classic car fleet.

Today marked the beginning of her next adventure, or so we thought, for her journey with us from Andover to Coventry, where the brilliant team at Austins of Old Arley will begin preparing her for something rather special…

This July, Aggie will be taking on the legendary Rally in Austria. Mountain passes, endurance stages, regularity tests, and one very wonderful pre-war British motorcar.

What could possibly go wrong?
