Interesting email received the other day. We have been restricted by NNG accessing the k-Boats for years (although they have no right to do so!) but looks like there is an easing from NNG on access policy they have in place. If you are a diver and around Crail next week be worth dropping in to listen to what they have to say.
Hello all
In the coming weeks, specific restrictions for sea users around using the area in the vicinity of our NnG offshore wind farm in the Firth of Forth will be lifted.
To ensure that we can continue to operate the wind farm safely and to ensure the safety of all sea users, we are creating guidance for communicating with our team for those who wish to use the area.
The protocols, which are currently being finalised, seek to work practically for the wind farm’s teams as well as for sea users.
In order to engage with sea users – for example divers and fishers who intend to use the area – we are holding two drop-in sessions to feed into this guidance.
These will take place from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesday 26 August at Eyemouth Golf Club and Thursday 27 August at Crail community hall.
You are invited to drop in to these sessions to speak to the teams specifically about the guidance, provide any feedback and ask questions.
Please forward this email / invitation on to any Divers or sea users that may be interested in using the site once reopened.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Many thanks
