Woodgate Aviation (NI) Ltd is currently recruiting a Stores Assistant to join our team at Belfast International Airport.

We are proud members of the SERE Aviation Group, working in tight synergy with our operator partner, 247 Aviation. Together, our teams ensure the airworthiness of aircraft used for high-priority missions ranging from life-saving NHS Blood and Transplant flights to executive VIP travel for high-net-worth individuals.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, pension, and career development opportunities, including training in aviation logistics, stock control, and purchasing.

Previous stores, warehouse, or logistics experience is beneficial, but not essential — we’re looking for someone organised, reliable, and willing to learn.

Two years ago, we delivered this Britten-Norman Defender from Estonia to Canada.

Enroute from Denmark to the UK, we developed a minor technical issue, so we dropped in to see our friends at Woodgate Aviation in Belfast (whom we knew had the BN2T on their Part 145 approval).

They fixed our 'issue' and we were soon on our way again.

As draws to a close, let’s not forget about all the fixed wing air ambulance operators who fly around the clock to support the transfer of live organs, surgical teams and patient repatriations around the United Kingdom and further afield. 🛩️🌍

We are all sorry to hear of the passing of Mike Woodgate, the founder of Woodgate Aviation.

Mike founded the company back in May 1969. From humble beginnings at Aldergrove, Mike’s brief was simple, he would fly anything, anywhere - provided it would fit into his aircraft and was within radius of operation. He also believed that slow and steady progress was better than over ambition.

We extend our condolences to all Mike’s family and friends.

Woodgate Aviation can confirm that one of its Beechcraft fixed-wing aircraft was involved in an emergency landing at Birmingham Airport earlier today.

The turbo-prop aircraft was on a repositioning flight to Belfast International Airport when it developed landing gear problems. The aircraft returned to Birmingham and made an emergency landing and the main under-carriage collapsed on touch down.

Two crew members and a passenger were on board but were uninjured.

The aircraft has been removed from the runway and we will be co-operating fully with Air Accident investigators and airport services.

We would like to pay tribute to the professionalism of our colleagues and the emergency services at the airport for their prompt action.
