Appledore & Instow Ferry Ltd This is a Not for Profit Community Project sponsored by fund raising and help from local businesses

Sailing times are roughly 2 hours either side of high tide but view the Timetable link for more details. We carry up to 12 passengers and there is plenty of room for pushchairs and prams. If you are cycling we can take bikes and well behaved dogs are always welcome. The crossing takes 7-8 minutes and our volunteers will help you on and off the ferry at each side. This is a Not for Profit Community Project sponsored by fund raising and help from local businesses.

Monday 26 May the skipper is cancelling the ferry session as the winds will still be strong and rain is forecast ☹️

Dates for your diary!!
The ferries start the season on Wednesday 2 April at 0930 to 1140h so be one of the first ones on the ferry this season, the weather looks beautiful.
On Saturday 12 April at approximately 1615h there will be the blessing of the ferries in Appledore. The Applecorers shanty singers will be on the slip from 16h The ferries will motor across to Instow and the ferries will be blessed at the Pier at approximately 1645h.
Do come along and join in the blessings at the commencement of what we hope will be another successful season.

Tuesday 15 October - as heavy rain is forecast the ferry will be operational but service will end at 17h.

Sunday 29 September- the skipper has cancelled the ferry on Sunday as the weather forecast is not a happy one!

Friday 27 September- the skipper has cancelled the ferry today due to the high winds.

Wednesday 25 September - the skipper has cancelled the ferry as the forecast is for heavy rain during the ferry session.

Thursday 12 September- sorry for the late notice but the skipper is cancelling the ferry service today.

Wednesday 11 September - as the weather forecast has not changed the skipper is cancelling the ferry service on Wednesday 11/9.
