Cyfannedd Uchaf Farm The house with the best view in Wales. Cyfannedd Uchaf is a form of magic. The views blow us away. If you can fall in love with a place, we are head over heels.

We spend as much time as we can here, but when we're away, Cyfannedd Uchaf is available for holiday lets through the Best of Wales website. It's a great place to holiday with family or friends and get that 'hit' of nature, mountains, sea, fresh air, wind and delight. In 2020/21, Cyfannedd Uchaf was renovated with the planet in mind. It is now heated by a ground-source heat pump system, it has new

underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, and so is cosy all year round. It also takes some electricity from a wind turbine and solar panels. In addition to four spacious double bedrooms upstairs, all en suite, and a single room, it also has a ground-floor one-bedroom annex so that the house can be rented more flexibly. The annex has a kitchen and shower room too, and is accessed without steps. Cyfannedd Uchaf formally sleeps 13, with floor space for more. You are welcome to bring up to 3 dogs. Cyfannedd Uchaf also has 11 beautiful acres overlooking Fairbourne and Arthog, and a small lake suitable for fresh water swimming. It is very remote: you need to go through 6 farm gates to get here from Dolgellau, and the nearest shops are either 15 minutes' or 25 minutes' drive away, depending on if you are up for braving a very steep, single track road to get to Fairbourne, or you prefer the 6 gates and 7 miles to Dolgellau. Being remote, our utilities occasionally get interrupted. We are on a private water supply from a spring, which is filtered. Our WiFi relies on 4G but can stutter. We've had two power cuts in the last sixth months because of storms. But that is part of the charm. Utilities are never out of action for long. Here, you learn to appreciate things you usually take for granted, while connecting to the majesty and grandeur of the Welsh mountains. And, astonishingly, Asda and Morrison's do deliver groceries out here. From the house you can walk up mountains towards the famous Cadair Idris, or to the gorgeous Cregennan Lakes run by the National Trust, or down the steep hill to Fairbourne beach.
