How we ended up here...
In Sept 2020 we moved from France back to the UK and lived in our Victorian farmstead temporarily whilst we looked at other houses in the area to buy.
But every time we came back after a viewing feeling disheartened, we would come up the drive and just knew we wouldn’t find anywhere as special as this - it had captured our hearts 💕
We knew it would swallow our budget and then some! One barn out of three was only liveable in and it was still a grade 1 listed property - it was a huge risk!
But with one acre of grounds, potential to grow lots of veg, a gorgeous sunset view, the peace and tranquility, and the daily wildlife of ducks, moorhens, buzzards, kites & deer - we went for it!
It was also the perfect location for us - 5 minutes from historic Arundel, over the road from lovely walks in the South Downs, 10 mins drive to the beach, and also down a no through country lane - dreamy 😍
We converted The Sussex Granary back in 2023 and we’ve never looked back - thankfully we've been pretty busy ever since!
I remember one guest (a Dad) sent us a pic of him and his son doing s’mores by the fire pit 😍
It bring us so much joy and satisfaction knowing that guests have memorable experiences here 💕
And we want to share our special place with you - and we're happy to share the veg too 🥕 😉
