Perfect weather for lambing! and at Gateham Grange we are in the thick of it.

Our holiday cottage guests are always welcome in the lambing shed and I just had to share this fabulous review left by a couple who have recently left after a shortbreak:-

"This fantastic family really gave a chance to experience what farming life is like. We were obviously watching masters at work as their ability to make look relaxed one of the hardest professions in existence, on top of making us feel so welcome at the same time, is a unique gift. Each family member offered so much time & effort to make us feel part of the place; especially as our stay was during the busy first lambing period with all the trials & tribulations that come with it. Despite this, we had the chance to get stuck in amongst it feeding, bedding, nursing, warming little ones and to learn little priceless tricks and information that go into the care of each animal. We could either be took under the wing as much or as little as we wanted; It was either complete relaxation from our lovely cottage in unspoilt surroundings or up close and personal on the farm - whichever we chose. A hundred thousand thank you’s for providing us some of the best memories we have! Cannot wait to come again & bring more members of our family to meet yours."

We just have availability left in the Coach House from the 3rd May to the 10th May @ £520 for the week, shortbreaks also welcome. We will be getting towards the end of lambing but there are bound to be some late lambers and you will have an experience to remember.

This spectacular view awaits you! This fabulous photo was taken by one our lovely guests staying in The Coach House Holiday Cottage at Gateham Grange. Climb the hill at the back of the Coach House, catch your breath! and look around you to see the peak district in all its glory!

Each of our accommodation enjoys its own privacy with the Coach House being located at the farmstead, the Camping Barn is at the foot of Narrowdale Hill (just over a mile from the farmstead) and the pop up sole use D of E Camping site is over the road around half a mile away from the farmstead in a meadow directly off the Alstonefield Road.

Our working farm is superbly located being close to the popular Stepping Stones at Dovedale, the Manifold Valley Cycle Trail, busy Hartington (famous for its stilton cheese), historic Chatsworth and The Alton Towers Resort. We have everything you could possibly want for a Memorable holiday and its all so easily accessible from Gateham Grange. Start planning to make memories now ...
