🇪🇸 SPAIN - ALL COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED 🇪🇸

From 21 October 2022, all COVID-19 travel restrictions for travellers to Spain have been lifted. The rules that previously applied to travellers coming to Spain no longer apply:

- you are no longer required to show proof of being fully vaccinated
- you are no longer required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test
- you are no longer required to show proof of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
- you are no longer required to complete a health control form prior to travel.

🇪🇸 SANTANDER 🇪🇸

Beautiful and lively city on the Atlantic coast of the north of Spain. Capital city of the Spanish region of Cantabria.
The city is thought to have been a port since ancient times due to its favorable location, and is documented as far back as the 11th century. Much of the medieval city was lost in the Great Fire of 1941 but its remaining old town, beach and other attractions are popular with tourists both from Spain as well as abroad.
The port is still very active and a regular ferry service operates to the UK.
Fish and seafood dominate the local cuisine. Santander notably houses the headquarters of multinational bank Banco Santander, which was founded there.
The city has a mild climate typical of the Spanish northern coastline with stable temperatures. Cold snaps and heat waves are very rare.

Restaurante Saona Zaragoza (Plaza de los Sitios) was today’s fabulous lunch recommendation. Excellent value for money in a tastefully decorated restaurant.
Excluding drinks, the lunch menu comprising of starter, main course and dessert came to €21.95 pp.
