We have been contacted about a really sad situation and have no current space to help. We are hoping that someone may step in to help poor Oscar.
Following his owner going into a into a care home at short notice, Oscar who is springy 17 year old boy is currently alone at his owner's house, with a cat sitter visiting daily and family members dropping in whenever possible. He is an outdoor cat but in recent years has mostly stayed indoors, with use of a litter tray.
Oscar is an incredibly loving, gentle and affectionate cat. He is very vocal, enjoys company and still has plenty of character…he gets the occasional zoomies and still enjoys knocking things off shelves when the mood takes him!
Because of his age and the sudden upheaval, we are incredibly keen to find him a quiet, loving foster placement or an adopted family experienced with older cats. Oscar is really used to being around his owner, so we particularly worried about the impact of prolonged loneliness on him. Not to mention being in her home during this hot weather.
