Have you thought about going on a guided cycling holiday?

On one of our cycling holidays, you won’t have to worry about feeling rushed, missing out on hidden gems, or getting lost in the details.

But perhaps the best thing about a small group tour is our guides: friendly local experts on hand to fix punctures, tell stories about the landscape around you, and ensure you’re never short of snacks.

After all, true luxury is having someone who has thought of everything for you.

Once upon a time, we set ourselves the target of reaching True Net Zero by 2030.

More specifically, in 2021, we pledged to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% and Scope 3 emissions by 50%. For the emissions we cannot eliminate, we invest in projects that remove, avoid, or reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.

By exploring the beauty and heritage of the UK and Ireland with us, you can be sure that your travel is kinder to the planet. By choosing us, you are helping to make travel a force for good.

Have you ever explored your family tree?

There’s something grounding about tracing your lineage and learning more about the lives of your great-great-grandparents and beyond. It allows you to imagine what their lives were like.

What’s the furthest back you’ve traced your family tree?

We’re celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, and love looking back through the archive, almost like a treasured photo album. This is the Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, photographed on our trips 19 years apart.

Web maps have opened a world of exploration, offering the best routes from A to B.

But Maps cannot tell you that the coconut scent in the air is gorse, or spot the red deer tucked into the hillside rising on your right.

While some history can be measured in centuries, Scotland’s story spans millennia.

Here, we don’t just have castles from the scenes of Outlander and Highlander (though we certainly have many of those!). We also have 5,000-year-old standing stones older than the Pyramids of Giza, and everything inbetween.

Where will you discover next?

At Wilderness, we see carbon labelling as something akin to a nutrition label. It’s a mark of quality and transparency.

When you choose a lower-carbon holiday, you aren’t missing out. Instead, you’re embracing a more authentic version of Scotland—one that highlights the breathtaking landscapes, vibrant communities, and rich stories you encounter along the way.

And one that will continue to flourish for generations to come.

The provenance of a single malt makes all the difference in revealing the whisky’s story

We believe you should understand the story behind your journey, too; how it’s crafted and what it leaves behind.

Our carbon labelling is designed to make that story clearer. A way to show the care and craft that go into every journey.

This is travel that feels good in every sense.

What would be on your own travel label?
