I have just rerurned from a very relaxing stay at Golf View Hotel & Spa in Nairn, and experienced Scottish hospitality at it's finest. A warm welcome from Sally in reception was just the start of this fantastic stay.

A beautiful location for a seaside break, Golf View offers spectacular views over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle with pretty gardens leading down to the seashore. Arriving at the hotel, you are instantly met with a feeling of luxury and relaxation. With Nairn being one of the sunniest and driest places in Scotland, it was especially pleasant to view the long sandy beach from our room and the Hickory restaurant, and the sun was shining in all its glory! ☀️

We stayed in a twin sea view room with the stunning beach views. The classic interior is enhanced by warm woods and gold detailing in the bedroom, and floor-to-ceiling marble in the bathroom with Aran Aromatics toiletries- my favourite 😍 Spotlessly clean and beds that you did not weant to leave in the morning. Tunnocks tea tray, retro wireless and phone adding lovely, homely touches in the room.

The hotel’s AA-Rosette awarded restaurant, Hickory has intimate booths in coppery crushed velvet, cool marble table tops and soft leather seating. Dishes represent the best of Scotland. Local ingredients like beef, fish, seafood, and cheese are front and centre on the imaginative menu, which is complemented by an excellent wine list. We were lucky enough to have breakfast, pre-spa lunch then dinner in the restaurant.The scallop and pork belly starter was delicious, followed by pousin. And cocktails in the lounge to finish our evening. The halloumi vegetarian breakfast was so tasty and my daughter had cray fish on her eggs benedict! The atmosphere was so pleasant, made so by a combination of the fresh spacious surroundings and friendly efficient staff throughout the whole hotel.

We spent our day in the hotel spa - again with great staff who looked after us so well, especially Rory. Covid safety and guest satisfaction being equally as important. A great stress relieving massage then sitting in the outdoor whirlpool bath to enjoy that stunning view again! 😍

This hotel is a definite must if you are heading to the north of Scotland - highlights being:

A WEE G&T IN OUR TEEPEE......

Down at the Lodge, we are getting ready for another weekend of unpredictable Scottish weather in our teepee tent. Come rain, snow, hail or shine our staff and the wandering bartender will be there to serve you a great range of beverages from Brewdog beer to Whitley Neill gin.

We will also be serving up some homemade pies which will be served hot to keep you warm.

Opening from Friday at 5 pm until 10 pm then Saturday and Sunday from 12 till 10 pm.
