A little work, a little learning and a lovely evening in London. 🥂

Last night I joined the Hilton team at OXBO Bankside Restaurant for a fantastic evening showcasing some of the wonderful properties across their portfolio.

There was plenty of inspiration for future trips, an entertaining AI photo booth, free-flowing drinks and some seriously delicious food. The hospitality was brilliant from start to finish.

A huge thank you to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts team for such a lovely evening.

It’s always valuable getting out from behind the desk, meeting the people behind the brands, building relationships and discovering more about the places I can recommend to my clients.

And if the learning comes with food and a glass of something lovely, even better! 😉

A little slice of Lanzarote sunshine ☀️

I visited last October half term and instantly fell in love with it. So when I was looking for somewhere for a lovely family who wanted to properly switch off after a busy year, it went straight onto my shortlist.

And guess what? They’re loving it just as much as I did! ❤️

Private villas, your own pool, space to relax and spend proper time together. It’s a pretty gorgeous setting for a family getaway.

And it seems Lanzarote is having a moment, too! Condé Nast Traveller has been shining a light on the island’s stylish side and its brilliant places to stay. Can we finally retire “Lanza Grotty”? 😂

There was a slight hiccup - the hire car didn’t arrive on time as planned. When the client and hotel team couldn’t get through to the car hire company, I contacted my supplier, who called the client directly to reassure him while we worked on a solution. We even explored other options across the island, just in case.

Thankfully, arrangements were made for the car to be delivered. Now, hopefully, it’s back to sunshine, villa life and exploring the island.

I love being able to recommend places I’ve experienced myself. There’s something rather lovely about knowing a client is enjoying somewhere you fell for, too. 🥰

Something new is coming… 👀

Over the last few months, I’ve been putting my creative and branding hat back on and turning my attention to my own business.

I’ve been taking a proper deep dive into everything from the customer journey to how I communicate what I do, how I work and what makes my approach to travel different.

The aim? To bring it all together into a brand that feels much more me.

Two years in, the business has grown, I’ve learnt a lot and I’ve got some big ideas for what comes next. So it felt like the right time to get everything lined up for the next chapter.

The personal service, the relationships and all the thought that goes into every trip? That’s not changing. I just want to make it clearer what I do and what it’s like to work with me.

4th November - my second business birthday. 🥂

A fresh new look, a little more of me, and plenty to look forward to.

Dreaming of a classic Maldives escape?

Two of my favourites are & . Why?

Constance Halaveli is everything you picture when you close your eyes and think “tropical paradise” - a naturally beautiful island, a long sugar‑white sandspit, elegant villas with private pools and a superb house reef just off the beach. With excellent dining, a strong w**e cellar and that easy barefoot‑luxury feel, it is a fabulous option if you love stylish, peaceful islands with top‑notch snorkelling and plenty of space to simply unwind.

Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is a true “hide away from it all” experience, and is one of my favourite recommendations. Tucked away in the far north of the Maldives, it offers large, private villas - many with their own pools. Hideaway is a wonderfully natural island with no crowds, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with a great choice of restaurants, a beautiful house reef and that glorious feeling of space and seclusion.

I think my clients are getting a little more adventurous lately… and I’m absolutely loving it. ✈️

Since returning from Sri Lanka, I’ve had quite a few enquiries for more adventurous holidays 🤩 and honestly, I’m loving getting stuck into the research.

Sri Lanka has been a big one, but Japan is also proving surprisingly popular. 🇯🇵

I’ve already organised an epic Malaysia, Japan & Singapore adventure for a father and daughter, and I’m now working on a four-week Japan & Korea adventure for a family with teenagers.

And this is the bit of my job I really love.

Getting properly knee-deep in the research. Working out the routes, trains, journey times, where to stay, how long to spend in each place and, most importantly, how to make it all work for that particular family.

It’s so much more than just finding amazing places. It’s taking someone’s “we’d love to do Japan” and turning it into an actual journey.

And when all those pieces finally come together, the magic happens ✨

Maldives edition… 🏝️

Our 4th visit to the Maldives and this time we added 3 nights to the end of our Sri Lanka trip.

During our stay here, it got me thinking about some of the biggest Maldives myths I hear from my clients:

❌ “It’s only for couples.”

Absolutely not. JOY Island is fantastic for families, with a waterpark, kids’ club, watersports, tennis, games, entertainment and all-inclusive options.

❌ “It’s too expensive.”

It can be, but the right resort and travelling in shoulder season can make it surprisingly good value. JOY Island is incredibly good value for money.

❌ “The weather is terrible in summer.”

I’ve been three times in August and had beautiful weather every time. ☀️ No guarantees, of course, but don’t automatically rule it out.

❌ “It’s too far and complicated.”

Direct flights from London, followed by a short seaplane or speedboat transfer, make it much easier than you might think.

And finally…

❌ “You HAVE to stay in an overwater villa.”

Controversial opinion: I prefer the beach villa. 😂

At JOY Island, we stepped straight from our villa onto white sand and into that warm, turquoise water. Add your own private pool and you’ve got the best of both worlds - beach, sea, pool, space for the kids… and a bar never too far away for a cocktail. 🍸

Honestly, what more do you need?

The Maldives isn’t just one type of holiday and choosing the right island, room type and time of year can make all the difference.

And after four visits, I’m still finding reasons to go back. 💙

From stunning beachfront views and beautiful pools to the luxury all-inclusive experience IKOS is known for, this new resort in Crete is already turning heads.
