There’s so much to do this winter in Norfolk! We’re spoilt for choice. 😁 We try and do at least one winter event each year, this year it’s the renowned Thursford Show. We recommend the steam train, the show at Cromer Pier, the lights on at the various towns, the light shows at Sandringham or Blickling, or any of the Christmas fairs! We’ve got lots of short breaks this season from £305, so get in touch if you want to enjoy some Christmas shopping and events for a pre Christmas break!

FANCY YOUR OWN HOLIDAY HOME?

The time has come for me to downsize a little and take a bit more time for ourselves as we gracefully age :-)

With that in mind, Tides on Rainbows End Park is up for sale. It's on offer direct from me at the moment, no estate agent involved, so do get in touch if you fancy either a holiday home for yourself or going into the holiday let business yourself.

Two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/diner/lounge and composite decking, it has a little sneak peak of the sea, a designated parking space, communal grounds and is just a short walk away from miles of beautiful sandy beaches in the village of Bacton.

Bacton is a small village but with everything you need a short walk away - a really well stocked village shop, a pub, two cafes, fish and chip takeaway and a Chinese restaurant/takeaway. Really well based to explore the Norfolk Broads, the coastline or head into Norwich for the day.

Well some of you will be aware, but if not, my silence on social media has been down to that change in life we all reach, when the death of our last parent means we become the elders of the family, and that reminder of our own mortality!

My lovely mum, died in July at the grand old age of 97! John and I took her out just a month before to a nearby garden and cafe where she enjoyed the sunshine and flowers. Her joy in life were music and dance, and she was a professional dancer before she settled into having a family. The photo is of her in her Song Of Norway costume, that she toured the country performing in.

Just a month before her death, the latest addition to the family arrived, my great niece who came to celebrate my birthday with me at the weekend. 🎂 The circle of life completes and our attention turns to the next generation. 💗👶🏻

I’m still here, buried in lots of admin and clearing stuff, the inevitable burden that falls on to some of us, whilst the business of holidaying in Norfolk just quietly ticks along in the background. Hopefully some of you are thinking about a winter break and our three properties are ready and waiting for you. 😊 Sadly Bramble Cottage was sold recently, so is no longer available for holidays.

Sending my thoughts to any of you who’ve lost a loved one this year. Debbie xx

A day trip into Norwich is well worth the effort, with so many things to do once there. Visit the Sainsbury’s Art Centre, walk around the lake, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants. Take the train from Cromer or North Walsham, or driving with many car parks to choose from or the Park and Ride.
Plenty of availability left at the properties for a spring break!

We just love visiting the pier and especially the theatre at the end. Music, comedy, plays and of course the Summer and Christmas variety shows. It’s as good as going to the West End, but right on the doorstep; walking distance if you stay at Cromer Flint Cottage!
