The camino is almost upon me. The biggest physical challenge of my life.
As a self employed person who has radically downsized her work post mental health crisis, sharing my home allows me to maintain my 'enough': mental health progress, care for my mum and travel. It's an exchange which suits me and for which I am grateful to the upside of the Airbnb platform. A platform which has provided places to stay on the Camino when the hostels were full.
I have just decorated my home, Hope Cottage, for the new Autumn season. Wreath a surprise gift from my dear friend and regular visitor Alison Dorrell back in Deal lockdown days. I feel her care when I place it on the door.
Ready to welcome all who will inhabit its walls. Enabling me to fund my charity pilgrimage. Cosy and peaceful are the two words I hear most from my hundreds of guests.
