DID YOU KNOW that Wrexham's Racecourse/Stok Cae Ras ground hosted its first international match, between Wales and Scotland, nearly 150 years ago. This was just a year after the creation of the Welsh FA, also in Wrexham, in 1876, Wrexham's Year of Wonder

The ground will be hosting international football again this year as the UEFA Men's Under 19's Finals take place in Wales from 28th June to 11 July.

To mark this, together with my fellow Green Badge Tourist Guide, Peter Evans Tour Guide and Author, I'll be leading guided walks of Wrexham each Saturday of the competition, kicking off this week on 27th June at 11am. We'll be exploring Wrexham's key role in the development of football in Wales, as well as the many other significant events that took place here in 1876.

So whether you are visiting to watch a match or are just a curious local, why not join us? Tickets are available from Wrexham Visitor Information Centre or on Eventbrite. See my events listings for booking links.

So I admit it... I've been playing around with AI tools and design programs when I should be doing something more important. I'm quite pleased with these but have a feeling there may be several more versions to come so please bear with me!! And be kind.

Anyway the message is the same however pretty the image may - or may not - be. Do get in touch for tours of Chester and North Wales, particularly Wrecsam, Llangollen and Conwy areas. Also check out my Facebook and Eventbrite listings for public tours.
