For various funding and logistical reasons the Etape Royale was not able to take place in 2017. If this popular and exhilarating event is able to be resurrected in 2018, then we will consider holding the Royal Deeside Cycling Festival as part of a weekend event. Watch for updates on Etape Royale website & page.

Where is the treasure hidden? There's lots of it about in Ballater this weekend - from locally roasted coffee to toiletries, jewellery, artisan bread, jam, kindling and a few surprises ;) Come and find it in the Made in Marr tent on the green in Ballater next to the church from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th.... (the money raised is being split equally between the Ballater hall's generator fund, Crathie School Parent Council's Astro Turf appeal and the Braemar Creative Arts Festival)

A big thank you to Aberdeenshire Council (Janelle Clark and others) for the map and Elaine from Moxon's Architects for all the numbered squares
