Why Thailand’s “green season” should be on your radar

When you picture Thailand, you might imagine busy beaches, crowded temples and peak-season prices. But from May to October, Thailand’s beautiful green season tells a very different story:

Think vivid rice paddies, misty hills, full-flowing waterfalls and quieter beaches. Days are warm, with short, tropical showers that usually pass quickly, leaving everything fresh, cool and incredibly photogenic.

Here’s why it is such a magical time to go:

🌿 Lush landscapes & wildlife - The rains bring Thailand to life: forests, rice fields and national parks glow in rich greens. Waterfalls are at their most impressive, and places like Khao Sok National Park feel wonderfully wild, with mist-draped limestone peaks, emerald lakes and a greater chance of spotting macaques, gibbons and colourful birdlife.

😌 Fewer crowds, more space - Green season is quieter, which transforms the whole feel of your trip. Beaches are more peaceful, viewpoints and temples are less crowded, and it is easier to secure that perfect table, private tour or special experience.
